The Conservatory of Flowers enriches the landscape of San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. Modeled after Palm House in London's Kew Gardens it was the bequest of philanthropist John Lick, who had intended it for his Santa Clara farm. It was damaged during the Loma Prieta earthquake and has recently been restored.
